Services and capacity

Turn public WebSpace features on or off independently and set safe limits for real-time connections.

REST API and WebSocket service and capacity settings

Public features

FeatureDescription
REST APICRUD and custom APIs created from schema files
Static file APIServes JSON, XML, HTML, images, and binary files with the appropriate MIME type
Real-time WebSocketConnects database event subscriptions and real-time handlers

When a feature is turned off, its public endpoints return 503 Service Unavailable with retry information. Administrator APIs required for recovery remain available.

Default real-time limits

ItemDefaultMeaning
Total connections1,000Total WebSpace WebSocket connections for one server instance
Connections per DB1,000Sockets that can connect to one deployed database
Connections per IP64Sockets allowed from the same client IP
Messages per socket60/secMessage rate allowed for one connection

Connection counts represent browser tabs and sockets, not people. Multiple tabs opened by one user count as multiple connections. When you run multiple server instances, displayed values and limits apply per instance.

Saved connection limits apply to new connections and do not forcibly close existing ones. Connections over a limit are rejected before the WebSocket upgrade, and reserved slots are returned when connections close.

Public API paths are shared by schema files, clients, CSP, and proxy settings, so do not change them arbitrarily in the administrator screen. Manage external calling domains under API & site security.
