Startup Team Space Started File-Centered Collaboration with SetFN
Monthly subscription fees were burdensome, and access was blocked the moment we stopped paying
At my previous company, we used Google, Notion, and Slack together.
Initially it was familiar and convenient, but monthly subscription fees became increasingly burdensome relative to team size.
The bigger problem was that the moment we stopped payments to reduce costs, access to past materials was restricted.
We couldn't find previous documents when needed, and restoring conversation context wasn't easy.
Moving between multiple tools scattered files everywhere, and it took time to confirm what was the final version.
Now we consolidate everything with SetFN and communicate mainly around files
Our team creates team spaces with SetFN and accumulates materials in one place.
Without needing separate servers, the PCs we normally use become servers, so there's no additional cost, which is great.
Conversations continue next to files, and changes and versions are visible in the same place, reducing the need to dig through messengers.
Important documents like this one are saved as markdown files, and work outputs are managed together in the same folder.
