Using SetFN for Personal Use, Created My Own Space with Cross-Device Sync

I love buying new devices. I also enjoy making various things with Raspberry Pi, and I tend to buy the latest versions of devices like VR first. Laptop, desktop, tablet, phone... sharing between various devices constantly created file transfer needs. Each time, finding cables to connect and watching copy progress was a waste of time.

Created my space at home with SetFN and connected all devices

I installed SetFN on my home desktop and created my space. Laptop, tablet, and phone accessed via the same Wi-Fi and opened folders directly, Raspberry Pi was set to sync designated folders in the background. Files only moved within my equipment, and even when internet was slow, they moved quickly like an internal network. Gathering documents, notes, code snippets, and project outputs in one folder structure allowed me to continue seamlessly wherever I started when I returned home. This document is also saved as a markdown file, managing related materials and images together in the same folder.

Family photos and personal videos don't go outside

When organizing family photos, I sometimes saw notifications that photos were being analyzed for facial recognition or automatic classification. Even knowing these features were convenient, I couldn't easily dismiss the thought that my face and family photos might remain somewhere in external systems. So I gathered photo albums and personal videos in SetFN folders and shared them only within my home. From my phone, they automatically upload to designated folders when connected to home Wi-Fi, and I can immediately check from other devices on the same network if needed. When sending album links, I restrict them to open only from our home equipment, eliminating the feeling of photos going outside. When I occasionally need access from outside, I only allow entry via VPN, keeping photos and videos within my space.

Now materials accumulate locally, and flow doesn't break even with new devices

Even when bringing in new devices, just connecting to SetFN allows me to see the same folders immediately, shortening setup time. Automatic backup and version history give me peace of mind, and I can immediately find past states when needed. As a result, my work, hobbies, and media don't scatter but gather in one place, giving me a definite sense of my own space.
