Installing on macOS

Installing SetFN SpaceBuilder lets you run SetFN services directly on a Mac. This guide covers everything from installing the app to configuring the administrator account and storage path, through to your first login.

Before you begin

• A macOS account with permission to install and run apps
• Sufficient disk space to store service data and files you'll upload in the future
• A recent version of Safari, Chrome, or Firefox

Downloading and running the installer

Download the macOS DMG file from the download page, then open it. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the app into the Applications folder.

• Choose an installation path (using the default path is recommended)
• Create a shortcut in Launchpad or the Dock if needed

First run and agreeing to terms

After installation, running SpaceBuilder automatically opens the initial setup page in your browser. The default address is http://localhost:18510; if that port is already in use, the next free port such as 18511 or 18512 is chosen automatically.

localhost refers to the Mac you're currently using. If the browser doesn't open, use the URLs for Installation address printed on the run screen. On the initial setup page, review and agree to the terms of service.

When the initial setup screen appears, go to Initial Setup to configure the administrator account and service environment.
