Knowledge Services overview
Knowledge Services turns Workspace content into searchable data and provides controls for search quality and storage health. Configure AI models and external tools separately under AI Services.
Before you begin
- Required role: Workspace administrator
- Access rules on source files also apply when users retrieve knowledge.
- Configure Models & Runtime before using embeddings or image and PDF processing.
Open Knowledge Services
- Open the administrator console.
- Select
Knowledge Servicesin the left menu. - Select the page for the task you want to perform.

Search Management | Morphology, synonym entries, and AI request classification |
Knowledge Storage | Embedding models, vector-store connections, reindexing, and reset operations |
Recommended setup order
- Prepare the AI runtime and required models in Models & Runtime.
- Configure the embedding model and vector store in Knowledge Storage.
- Save included paths and processing rules in Ingestion & Indexing.
- Check queued work and errors in the indexing summary.
- Adjust organization terminology and search behavior in Search Management.
Check service state
- Review indexing progress in the summary and per-storage status on
Ingestion & Indexing. - Check vector-store connectivity and collection compatibility on
Knowledge Storage. - Changing the store starts reindexing from the source content. Some content may be absent from vector results until it finishes.
- Resetting knowledge storage does not delete source files.
